Syrian airstrikes could disrupt nearby commercial flights

Eurocontrol advises airlines flying east Mediterranean routes to exercise caution

The prospect of airstrikes in Syria has prompted the agency that coordinates air traffic across Europe to advise that commercial airlines flying east Mediterranean routes exercise caution over the next 72 hours.

As debate mounted over possible military action, Eurocontrol said use of missiles could result in intermittent disruption of radio navigation equipment.
